10% discount for siblings
(Family Memberships start at $40, so it may be worth becoming a member if you are registering more than one child. Click here to become a member.)

Cancellation policy:
All fees will be returned if camp registration is cancelled up to seven days before camp begins.
After this time, 75% of the fees will be returned for cancellations.

Live History Summer Camp with Ms. Ginger
June 13 – June 17
8:30 am – 2:30 pm
Ages 8-12
Camp participants will experience how people in the Presidio lived through a series of hands-on activities. These activities may include blacksmithing/tinsmithing, chores of a Spanish soldier, experiencing foods that are native to the Sonoran Desert, or even adobe making.

Theater/Re-enactment Summer Camp with Mr. Stan
June 13-17
8:30 am – 2:30 pm
Ages 9-15
Learn local history through play: role play, theatrical re-enactment and fictional dramatization of historical events. The Presidio Museum is the ideal setting for young imaginations to bring Tucson’s unique history alive. With access to a wide array of period structures, backdrops, costumes and props, young participants will truly feel they are living history. 

Activities include:
• Play-acting and creation of short skits based on historical characters and events using period costumes and sets
• Traditional games and play activities
• Hands-on local agricultural practices

The Cultures of Tucson Summer Camp with Ms. Ginger
June 20-24
8:30 am – 2:30 pm
Ages 11-14
Have you ever wondered about the people who were responsible for the creation and growth of the city of Tucson?  In this camp your kids will learn about these cultures through a series of hands on activities and demonstrations provided by various cultural organizations around Tucson:

**Representatives from the Tohono O’odham Nation will demonstrate traditional pottery making to share Tohono O’odham culture.
**Tucson Chinese Cultural Center representatives will teach attendees the Lion Dance to share the Chinese culture
**Dancers from Danzacultura Folklorico will teach children about the Mexican culture through dance.
**Other organizations involved in the camp include the Pascua Yaqui Tribe and the Jewish History Museum.

Archaeology Summer Camp with Ms. Ginger
June 27 – July 1
8:30 am – 2:30 pm
Ages 10-14
Have you ever wondered what it would be like to be an archaeologist? Well now is your chance to find out! Campers will learn how archaeologists really work through a series of hands-on activities that include using prehistoric tools, excavating our simulated site, and analyzing the artifacts that they have found. Note: This camp teaches the science of archaeological and artifact analysis. There is some digging but most time is spent on what happens before and after the dig!
