History in the Park Events
History comes alive on 4th Saturdays at the Fort Lowell Museum!
Visitors can enjoy historic demonstrations, displays, and hands-on activities for the entire family. Visitors will get a glimpse into what life was like for the Fort Lowell soldiers, Apache Scouts, and their families, as well as other people living in nearby Tucson.
Saturday, Jan 24, 10 am – 1 pm: Life in the Old West
Ever wonder about life in the Old West? See how people lived, worked, and played in historic Tucson. Learn about the various positions in the army available to soldiers. Look at civilian occupations and homemaking. Like now, people also liked to have a good time with activities like gambling and card games, listening to music, and playing games.
Experience the music of the time period with an 11 am concert by the 4th Cavalry Regimental Band of Fort Lowell.
Cannon firings by the 3rd US Battery A at 10:30 am and 12:30 pm!
