These activities are offered on a regular basis October-April during normal business hours, Activities/demos are dependent on volunteer/staff availability, as well as weather. Please feel free to call ahead to confirm availability at 520-526-2335.

Docent Tours
Enjoy a docent-guided tour of the museum. You will learn what life was like in the area prior to European contact as well as when Fort Lowell was active, 1873-1891. You may hear stories about soldiers, their families, civilians, and the local indigenous people.


Storytime
10:30-11:30 a.m., on the third Thursday of each month.
Will be moving to 11am-12pm on the the third Saturday of the month beginning in January 2026.
A Fort Lowell staff member will read a short story that will be followed by a hands-on themed activity. This is perfect for children 4-7 years old but is open to kids of all ages.

The museum has a toy box as well as coloring sheets, crayons, and paper for drawing.
