These activities are offered on a regular basis October-April during normal business hours, Activities/demos are dependent on volunteer/staff availability, as well as weather. Please feel free to call ahead to confirm availability at 520-526-2335.

Docent Tours

Enjoy a docent-led tour of the museum. You will learn what life was like in the area prior to European contact as well as when Fort Lowell was active, 1873-1891. You may hear stories about soldiers, their families, civilians, and the local indigenous people.

StoryCraft

Included with regular admission or free with a family membership.

Join us at the Fort Lowell Museum every first Thursday of the month for free story time with a theme related to regional history and culture. Ideal for children 4-7 years old, but open to all ages!

October 1, 9 am- 10 am

December 3, 9 am- 10 am

Join us on the third Thursday of each month for an after-school historic craft activity! Ideal for kids 6 and older, but open to all ages!

October 15, 4 pm- 5pm: Paper Flowers Activity

November 19, 4 pm- 5 pm: Beaded Corn Activity

December 17, 4pm- 5pm: Barrel Cactus Craft Activity


The museum has a toy box as well as coloring sheets, crayons, and paper for drawing.


Coffee With…

11:00 am-12:00 pm., on the first Saturday of each month join us for coffee and a casual conversation with an expert in their topic.
