Living History Day allows visitors to experience the Presidio as it would have been during its heyday. Docents in period costume provide a variety of opportunities for visitors including:
***interactive demonstrations of children’s games and weaving
***soldiers practicing their drills
***watching and learning how the soldiers fire their muskets
***pumping the bellows of the blacksmith’s forge
***tastings of handmade tortillas and bread
***candle making

In addition to these activities, each month has a theme like Día de los Muertos, The People Who Made Tucson, Crime in Arizona, and Arizona Statehood. Check our online calendar for future Living History themes.

This event is included with admission.
