Set of 4 Jabones de Castilla / Traditional Castilian Soaps
One of the oldest soaps known to mankind, this jabón is named after the region where it originated: the Castilla La Mancha region in Spain. With a basic recipe passed down through the generations, Presidio residents would have made Castile soap to use in washing clothes and bodies alike. This soap was made during Presidio Living History Days at the Presidio and is a gentle unscented combination of olive oil and lard, stirred for hours in the traditional way that it has been made for over 240 years. A small sponge is packaged with the jabón, drain your wet soap on it and keep it long lasting.
