Homer Thiel recently completed “Local Deaths Reported in Tucson, Arizona Newspapers from 1890 to 1894.” He read through the Arizona Daily Star, Arizona Daily Citizen, and El Fronterizo for this time span, transcribing every article that mentioned someone dying in Pima County as well as deaths of out-of-town relatives and former residents. The volume is 218 pages long with an every-name index. The book is a fundraiser for the Presidio Museum.
