Morning Muster

The Morning Muster program provides an educational opportunity at the Presidio Museum for groups of 8 – 30 children (small school groups, home-school groups, charter and private schools, etc.) The program can be scheduled any time during the museum's operating hours: Thursdays through Sundays from 10 am to 4 pm.

Grades:  K – 12

Duration:        
Grades K-5
 – 2 hours
Grades 6-12 – 1-2  hours (dependent on school schedules)

Cost:  $4 per student (chaperones are free, but are expected to participate)

 

 

Activities Include:

  • Drawing with cochineal dye
  • Gardening
  • Period Games
  • Candle Making
  • Grinding Corn
  • Tinsmithing
  • Washing clothes by hand and other period chores

 

 

 

Family Adventure Fourth Saturday 
September 26th, October 24th, November 28th, December 26th, January 23rd
10 am to 1 pm

This monthly event is open to children of all ages but is ideal for 4-7 year olds and their families. Activities include an age-appropriate tour of the Presidio Museum, blacksmith demonstrations, colonial-period games, a story time, and much more!
