* Native Nations Day - Feb. 29, 10 am - 3 pm
The Tucson valley has been inhabited for over 10,000 years. Today we will celebrate Native American heritage through crafts, food, and lectures. Learn about the ancient art of flint-knapping, try using an atlatl, learn the craft of basic coil pottery. Hear special lectures on the excavated pit-house located on the same ground as the Presidio foundation (which came much later). Enjoy demonstrations from the San Xavier Co-op and other local artists.
