* Living History Day: Garrisons of the Frontier - Jan. 11, 10 am - 3 pm

Learn about the different garrisons that have been stationed in Tucson since the arrival of the Spanish in 1775 to statehood in 1914. Spanish, Mexican, and American garrisons have all been a part of Tucson’s military history. 


In addition to these themed activities, other opportunities for visitors include:

** Tastings of hand-made tortillas and fresh-made bread

** Interactive demonstrations of children’s games and weaving 
** Soldier drills with muskets

** Pumping the bellows of the blacksmith’s forge

** Wayfaring demonstrations

** Roping "cattle"
