* June 27th 7:00 p.m. Outdoor lecture "Recent Archaeological Finds in Downtown Tucson"

Following the garden opening a socially distanced outdoor lecture will be presented by archaeologist Homer Thiel at 7:00 p.m., who will discuss “Recent Archaeological Finds in Downtown Tucson.” Thiel was featured in a June 1 Arizona Daily Star article about Presidio artifacts found during downtown excavation.

The events are free to the public, donations are appreciated.  No more than 80 people at a time will be let inside the Presidio grounds and masks are required.   The reception will include a cash bar and aguas frescas made with ingredients like those growing in the garden.

Additional free outdoor evening events at the Presidio Museum are being planned for the summer. Details coming soon.
