History & Libations Tour - Feb. 18, 10 am
The Southern Arizona Guide leads this walking tour which is a walkabout through the Tucson of the 1870s & 80s as seen through the eyes of saloonkeeper, George Hand using old photographs, sketches, & maps to locate important historical sites, and excerpts from Mr. Hand's diary to learn about the fascinating people and events associated with these places 140-some years ago. The tour goes throughout Downtown Tucson and includes the Presidio Museum.
Lunch at an historic site, such as Maynards Market & Kitchen in the historic train depot, is included, as are streetcar day tickets, and admission to the Presidio Museum. The tour is about 4 hours plus lunch and covers approximately 2.5 miles, occasionally hopping on and off the Modern Streetcar. To register, click here.
