Gertie & The T.O. Boyz Concert

Gertie Lopez grew up in the Sif-oidak District of the Tohono O'odham Nation and has been a musical performer most of her life - playing Waila and "chicken scratch" in the family band known as "The Lopez Brothers and Gertie."  She has written and recorded numerous songs, and in 2003 she formed "Gertie and the T.O. Boyz."  Specializing in old time Waila sounds, the band features Gertie on vocals and accordion and fellow musicians on bass, guitar, and drums.  The band originally performed at the Presidio Museum with Ted Ramirez this past fall to resounding applause.  The Presidio Museum is thrilled to welcome them back for this full concert.
