Congress Street Tour with historian Ken Scoville - Tucson's Street of Dreams

Discover the commercial development of downtown Tucson and Congress Street.  In 1870, east of Stone was getting “out of town.”  The impending arrival of the railroad caused land speculation to flourish and ongoing tensions between West and East Congress Street merchants.  Movie theaters, the first high-rise, hotels and areas with “bad reputations” will be discussed.  Tour ends at the train station.
