Meet at the Presidio at 8 a.m., departure 8:15 am. Return to Tucson mid-afternoon. Led by archeologist Homer Thiel. Our "sister" Presidio of Terrenate was constructed near the West bank of the San Pedro River in 1775. It lasted only five years and suffered from isolation and raids. Homer Thiel will describe what life was like. Special guest appearance by a Garrison Soldado! We will have lunch under the cottonwood trees at the remains of the town of Fairbank. We will carpool. Price includes a boxed lunch.
