Visitors will get an in-depth look at the types of jobs held by men and women in the 18th and 19th centuries. The event also includes some of the skills, arts, and crafts that emerged from being a part of New Spain, Mexico, and Territorial Arizona. Visitors will enjoy:
- Traditional Spanish music by El Camino Ancho throughout the entire event
- Blacksmiths
- A display on the lives of Soledad Jacome (a single mother and seamstress ) and Ana Charleau (a madam in Tucson's red light district)
- Musket drills and cannon firing by the Spanish garrison
- Display on military medicine
- A display on the Arizona Rangers
- Tortillas cooked on the comal
- 11:30 am lecture: "A Day in the Life of a Spanish Soldier's Wife" in the breezeway
- Learn about desert medicinal plants
- Colcha embroidery
