Included in admission - Re-enactors will portray the various garrisons stationed in Arizona from the 18th and 19th centuries. Historical displays and activities will give visitors insight into the lives and duties of the troops that served in our state. The Presidio San Agustin's Spanish garrison will be on hand to show visitors what life was like before Arizona was an American territory and still under Spanish rule. The Tucson Civil War Roundtable will also be in attendance with a display on Arizona's role in the Civil War and the United States 3rd Artillery, Battery A who drove the Confederates out of Tucson. Hands-on activities will focus on things that came to Tucson because of the military presence like the heliograph and the telegraph. You may even be able to rope a cow!
