Soap Making Workshop

In this hands-on class, Tracy Conklin, owner of Artemesia Soaps, will guide participants through the art of cold process soapmaking. Participants will learn how to make soap from scratch with all-natural ingredients, explore the fundamentals of the cold process method, and discover the best ways to safely work with sodium hydroxide (lye). Tracy will also demonstrate how to incorporate desert botanicals and clays into soap. At the end of the workshop, everyone will take home one pound of skin nourishing handmade soap, a reusable soap mold, and recipes to continue their soap-making adventures.
