Danger Road – The Perils of Travel Through the Sonoita Valley by Rick Collins
The Sonoita area was once a “no man’s land” and yet it defined southern Arizona in the 18th and 19th century. Though today it is known as wine country and scenic wonder, both people and nature have historically made the region dangerous.
Rick is a retired National Park Ranger with Tumacacori National Historic Park. Rick currently serves as an advisor for Las Cienegas National Conservation Area Heritage Technical Team, serves on the Arizona Desert National Park Partnership Board, as Vice President of the Empire Ranch Foundation, and on the Board of the Tubac Historical Society.
