Mainly Murals North of Congress Street and Tucson’s 250th Birthday Murals by Dorothy Yanez
The lecture will cover the murals in the downtown area, including many of the new ones that were painted in honor of Tucson’s 250+ years. Dorothy will discuss the artists, the history of the murals, and many of the artists’ inspirations behind the pieces.
Dorothy was born and raised in Tucson. She retired from the City of Tucson in 2004, after 34 years of working in several different departments. She now has over 20 years of experience in the hospitality and tour guide industry, including working as a concierge at a local resort and with numerous destination management companies as a professional tour guide for conferences and conventions.
