Remember Me Living History Day
Honoring Those Who Have Passed Away

Living History will explore how various cultures and periods practiced honoring the dead, including a special look at Día de los Muertos (Day of the Dead). This is also the last weekend the ofrenda exhibition will be up, so make sure not to miss it!

Visitors can learn where some of Tucson's most prominent pioneers are buried and what funerals were like in the late 1800s. They can sample tortillas and champurrado (a traditional chocolate drink for Day of the Dead) at the comal. The blacksmiths and Spanish garrison will be on hand, demonstrating what their duties were at the Tucson Presidio during the New Spain era. 

Musket demonstrations - 10:15 am, 11:30 am, 2 pm
Cannon firing - 11 am, 12 pm, 1 pm

Guided Museum Tours at 10:30 am and 1:30 pm
