del Tucson\, the 11 acre Spanish fort that is cons
idered the beginning of modern-day Tucson. The fou
ndation of this fort is now buried beneath the bui
ldings of downtown Tucson but still has many stori
es to tell.
You will see various historic an
d cultural murals\, learning about the imagery and
the artists. You will also see the historic Pima
County Court House which was built right over the
top of the original Presidio wall. You'll walk th
rough Presidio Plaza\, admiring several pieces of
public art. As you return you'll see some of the e
arliest Territorial period homes in the El Presidi
o Historic District.
