 Día de los Muertos ( Day of the Dead) is a celebrati on welcoming back   lost loved ones\, who visit wi th friends and family during the holiday.  Celebra nts believe that at midnight on Oct. 31\, the soul s of deceased children come to visit with their fa milies and stay through November 1.  The souls of deceased adults visit on November 2.  Ofrendas (al tars) are set up to welcome the deceased with thei r favorite foods\, games\, photos of the deceased\ , and other favorites.

\n In celeb ration of Día d e los Muertos\, the Presidio Museum will host ofre ndas created by the community. Presidio staff\, bo ard members\, and volunteers will create public of rendas to honor veterans\, friends & family of the Tucson Presidio Trust\, and pets. < /span>
