Living History Day: Statehood Celebration

This month, Living History Day will be a celebration of Arizona gaining statehood on Feb. 14, 1912, including the different ethnicities and cultures that have made Arizona the diverse state it is today. From the villages here prior to the arrival of the Spanish, to becoming a part of independent Mexico, and finally an American state in 1912, Arizona has been influenced by the many ethnicities that have called the state home.
In addition, this event will comprise a variety of demonstrations that may include blacksmithing, soldier drills and cannon fire, handmade tortilla tasting and more.
