Living History Day: Statehood Celebration
RESCHEDULED TO Saturday, Feb. 17, 10 am-2 pm

This month, Living History Day will be a celebration of Arizona gaining statehood on Feb. 14, 1912. Different ethnicities and cultures have called Arizona home and significant historical events made Arizona the diverse state it is today. From the villages here prior to the arrival of the Spanish, to becoming a part of independent Mexico, and finally an American state in 1912, Arizona has a rich history to share.
DanzaCultura Ballet Folklorico will perform at 11 am.
In addition, this event will comprise a variety of demonstrations that may include blacksmithing, soldier drills and cannon fire, handmade tortilla tasting and more.
